Timber Maintenance:
Timber is a natural product. All timbers will show signs of ageing when exposed to outside conditions. Ageing, however, does not equate to structural decay, but most commonly, a silvering off of the timber.
Tesch Tables uses the Australian company Cutek for our timber treatments. All settings are treated with Cutek Extreme, with a Colourtone, to maintain the natural tone of the timber, and provide additional protection against UV damage.
Re-coating depends on the conditions of the outdoor setting, and your preference to minimising the natural grey-ing process. If your setting is particularly dirty, you can give it a rinse with a high pressure hose, set at 750 psi (50bar). Where possible, use a fan jet setting to avoid damage to the timber surface. Once dry, apply 2 coats of Cutek Extreme, and allow to dry. You can apply with an clean brush or rag.
Leg and Powdercoat Care
Powder coated legs should be cleaned every six months to maximise the long-term appearance and protection of the coating. Coastal or industrial areas may require cleaning every 3 months.
Remove coarse or loose dirt with a soft wet sponge or cloth. Use a warm, mild detergent solution to remove any salt, dust and other deposits with a soft cloth, sponge or brush and rinse with fresh water.
Avoid using harsh material chemical cleaners or abrasive cleaning pads, ie scourers or steel wool.
